For every Google Play Store issue, there is mostly an error code connected. And there are many of them. If your Android phone throws Error Code 910 when installing or updating apps on your Android smartphone, then something is limited, and you need to fix it. We have tested and established four troubleshooting fixes that work to fix this bug in this post.
The ‘Error Code: 910’ indicates that the Play Store cannot install apps on the device due to issues ranging from poor connectivity to corrupt temp files and other device related glitches. It’s worth mentioning that restarting your phone could fix this bug. You must also verify that the Internet connection to the device is active.
If the error persists, go to the solutions below.
1. Clear store and data cache
As mentioned above, fixing this problem is quite easy. And a good place to start is clearing the Play Store cache and app data. This is an effective fix for many Play Store related bugs and complications. Follow the steps below to do this.
Step 1: Launch the Phone Setup menu and select ‘Applications and Notifications’.
Step 2: Then tap ‘View All Applications’.
Step 3: Select ‘Google Play Store’ from the list of apps installed on your device.
Step 4: Select ‘Storage and Cache’.
Step 5: Now tap Clear Cache.
After that, return to the Google Play store and check if the error code still appears when installing apps. If you do, you should try to clear the Google Play Store app data. Proceed from step #5 above.
Step 6: Click the Clear Storage icon and click OK at the confirmation prompt.
Note: Deleting data from Google Play Store will reset the app. Application settings, settings, search history and so on will be deleted. Your Google account will still be linked to the Play Store. Also, clearing Play Store data won’t remove any installed apps, so there’s nothing to fear.
2. Re-add Google Account
If the error persists after you delete Play Store and cache data, delete your Google account from your phone and add it again. Here’s how.
Remove Google Account on Android
Step 1: Launch the Settings menu and select Accounts.
Step 2: Then tap the Google account linked to your device’s Play Store.
If you have multiple Google accounts linked to your device, launch the Play Store and tap the profile / avatar icon inside the search box. The account in the top section is the active account.
Step 3: Click the Remove Account button and select Remove Account in the prompt.
Add Google Account to Android
Follow the steps below to add the account you just removed.
Step 1: Go to Settings > Accounts and click Add Account.
Step 2: Select Google and enter device password, PIN or biometric authentication verification.
Step 3: Enter your Google Account credentials in the box provided to add the account back to the device.
Try installing an app on the device and check if the Play Store still shows error code 901.
3. Clear Google Service Framework Cache
Google Service Framework is a system application designed by Google to help Android users update some pre-installed Google apps. If this app does not work properly due to corrupt data or something else, you may encounter problems installing apps from Google Play Store.
However, clearing the Google Service Framework cache could solve this problem. Here’s how.
Step 1: Launch your device settings and select ‘Applications and Notifications’.
Step 2: Select ‘View All Applications’. Depending on your device, the option might be ‘Application Information.’
Step 3: Now tap the three-dot menu icon in the upper right corner and select Show System.
4: Scroll to the bottom, find ‘Google Services Framework’, and tap open the application menu.
Step 5: Select ‘Storage & Cache’.
Etapa 6: Tap Clear Cache.
Continue with the following troubleshooting if you still cannot install or update apps from the Google Play Store due to error 910.
4. Ejection SD Card
Having corrupt files on the SD card could also interfere with installing the app from the Google Play Store. If you have an SD card in your device, read and try to install / update it.
Interestingly, you don’t have to physically remove the SD card from your device. The Android OS has built-in functionality that allows you to practically dismount an SD card.
Step 1: Launch the Android setup menu and select Storage.
Step 2: Click the eject icon next to the SD card.
Now open the Google Play Store and see if you can now install or update apps without error code 910. To replace the ejected SD card, tap the SD card and select Mount at the prompt.
Fix the Play Store
In addition to the above, you must also ensure that your device’s operating system is up to date. Manually updating the Google Play Store and Google Play Services could also help fix error code 910.
