The Samsung Galaxy Buds Plus packs a balanced audio output and if you’re already in the Samsung ecosystem, it makes sense to invest in these wireless Bluetooth headphones. Of course you need to adjust your Galaxy Buds Plus settings to your liking.
The Galaxy Buds Plus’ companion app aptly named Galaxy Wearable gives you plenty of room for customization. From adjusting the touchpads to modifying the Ambient Sound level, you can do a lot. And we say you can also add touch action? Interesting, right?
So here we are with some of the best tweaks you should check out on your Galaxy Buds Plus.
Before that, take a look at these:
1. Control Notifications
Imagine you’re groping for your favorite song, and as it hits crescendo, a series of pings and beeps disrupt the whole scene. Bummer? Do not worry. Galaxy Buds Plus gives you finer control over your phone’s notifications. While the ideal solution is to cut off all notifications, it may not be a viable solution as it may be missing important ones.
Therefore, the best option is to select the apps you consider important and mute the rest.
To do this, open the Samsung Wearables app and select read-aloud notifications > Apps to get notifications from, and tap the drop-down.
Select All from the list and toggle switches for the apps you want to be notified of. And that’s all, as simple as that.
After that, every time your phone receives a notification of approved apps, you’ll hear a soft beep.
2. Google Quote Assistant
Touch-sensitive buttons on Galaxy Buds Plus give you the flexibility to skip tracks or answer calls without pressing the buttons on your ear. While the unique touch and double griffair have fixed actions, the good news is that the ‘long touch and hold’ action can be customized to suit your needs.
For now, the Wearable App offers three options: Voice Assist, Ambient Sound and Volume Down. All you have to do is select Touchpad, click on one of the options (right or left) and select Voice Aspirin from the menu.
Best part? You can choose individual actions for the headphones. For example, you can turn on Ambient Sound when you tap and hold the right touchpad, and turn on Voice Aspitant when you press and hold the left touchpad. Cool huh?
So what can you ask Google Assistant to do? For starters, you can ask him to play music, or you can call someone hands-free. Just say the command in natural language.
Note : If you select Volume in one of the spurs, unfortunately, it will be reflected in the other, which means that one will be used to increase the volume and vice versa. But worrying not for the next trick will give you plenty of room to change this default behavior.
3. Time for some experiments
In addition to standard touchpad actions, Buds Plus also contains some experimental features. Hidden under the labs, these setups let you get a little more out of your humble wireless Bluetooth headsets.
One of the most interesting features of these Samsung shoots is the double tap action. Unlike the above, here you have to tap the edge of the headphones to adjust the volume. That way, you can use the click and suspend action of the breakouts for some other action.
However, making them work is easier said than done. Chances are it takes a long time for it to work (and lots of skipping songs).
4. Activate sound environment during calls
The sound ambience (sound transparency) of the Samsung Galaxy Buds Plus feature allows you to be cut off from your surroundings. This feature uses the sprouts to filter out the ambient noise it makes decently. However, you don’t cancel them out completely and you can still think about the sounds in your environment.
The only thing you have to get is a proper fit. Lack of proper adjustment may cause you to hear howling sounds.
With Galaxy Buds Plus, not only can you enable it in a single spurt, but you can also activate Ambient sound when you’re on calls. Of course, this goes to figure if you often take calls while you’re on your journey.
To enable it, go to Advanced Settings and enable the switch to use Ambient sound during calls.
Did You Know : Galaxy Buds allow (previous version) to activate Ambient Sound only when both buds are active.
5. Lock Earbuds
As useful as it may seem, touch-sensitive buttons can be relaxed, especially when working. Fortunately, you can temporarily lock the buttons.
To do this, go to the Wearable app > Touchpad and activate the lock’s touchpad board.
You won’t accidentally skip songs when you delete the sweat from your head.
6. Activate the Dolby Atmos profile on the right
Do you listen to music extensively on your Galaxy Buds Plus? If yes, it is better to switch to apt Dolby Atmos profile on your Samsung mobile phone. For now, spoken mode gives you three choice options-Movie, Music and Voice, in addition to the default Auto.
With the Music profile activated, you will get a clean and rich sound experience, while switching to the Voice profile will improve the voices in a video or movie. And well, the movie profile will help deliver a pronounced audio experience.
All you have to do is take advantage of the Dolby Atmos icon in the Quick Setup menu and select it.
7. Add your own sound profile
If you have a Samsung cell phone, you might want to try the Adapt Sound feature. This feature modifies the low and high tones emitted by headphones or headphones according to your listening capabilities and adjusts the result accordingly. After all, each ear perceives sound differently. I find this feature particularly useful as my ears can’t make low tones.
Interestingly, it’s easy and easy to set up too. Once you have your headphones, head to Settings > Sounds and vibrations > Quality and sound effects > Adapt Sound and tap on Create Custom Profile.
The phone will guide you through the rest of the process. Once done, save the profile and select it.
To hear the difference in sound quality, tap the Cog-shaped button, and listen to the two sound profiles.
Get the most out of your headphones
So, this is how you can get the most out of your Samsung Galaxy Buds Plus. From setting your touch-based actions to allowing the best possible sound, there’s a lot you can do. And next time, the battery runs low, enables Wireless PowerShare on your Samsung cell phone from the Quick Setup menu, and sets up the charging case on the back of your phone.
What is the best thing you like about these wireless headphones from Samsung? I love that they automatically pause when I pull them from my ear, although the touchpads drive me crazy for a moment. Is that you?
